Throughout the year 2016

2016 Christmas Meal

Fun was had by all at our Christmas meal at the Queens Head in Titchfield on Thursday 15th.

35 of us attended and we had our own room upstairs which allowed us to be as raucous as we wanted - always useful as we set the balloons loose! A General Knowledge Quiz and a Picture Quiz was supplied by Andy and Joe respectively - always well received.  Thanks gents.
As Chair, Bob presented Joe with the 2016 Attendance Award..Again! (haha!) Well done Joe.

In lieu of exchanging Christmas Cards, we collected in aid of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance .... a huge £145 collected on the night and with money collected earlier in the year means that a cheque for £270 or so (final figure to be confirmed) will be flying off to them soon.

Sunday run to Twyford Waterworks October 2016

Nine of us met at Wickham Square to travel together on the short ride to Twyford.  Whilst this photo looks like we were all composed, it was only moments later when we all fell about laughing......Pete continues to ride Bob's normally reliable Gold Flash, but after a couple of previous incidents was unable to start her.  Dad In Law sprung into action to start the bike, which on 3rd kick did so successfully just as the headlight lens plus guts fell out.  A great advert for BSA for several onlookers.

A fun day out on the Isle of Wight September 2016

A few of us enjoyed the trip across the water to the Wight Lightning Run.  A short ride out with the group to the Ryde Classic Car Show and then back to camp for a catch up before the early evening ferry back to Portsmouth.

DGR September 2016

A fun Sunday was had by all with 140+ very Distinguished Gentlemen enjoying a lovely day to make the ride from Southampton to Port Solent and raising £12,000+ for gentlemen's health causes in doing so.  Well done Russ for organising and raising funds for a great cause.

Summer Camp July 2016

Our second year Summer Camp at the Milbury's proved successful. Joe reacted well to feedback from 2015 and created a wash room which was very well received.  Running cold water and facilities to heat water as well no less!

Despite a few drops of rain on the Friday we enjoyed a lovely weekend, good weather and with friends sharing the common interest. Joe had organised a lovely run to Hawkley where we enjoyed some lunch and a pint before the shorter ride home.  A restful afternoon before congregating in the pub for the evening with basket meals, quiz, raffle, and skittles....and a few pints of course, where fun was had by all.  We had several day visitors as well who are always welcome.

We revived our Sunday morning ice-cream run to Stokes Bay before getting back to camp for packing away.

As always, despite the bikes being the common theme - it's the people who make the club.  Lovely to welcome you all and                                                                                                                                    we look forward to catching up again soon.
